Engagement is one of the most emotionally complex transitions in a woman's life.
And yet its treated like a celebration.
Behind the joy, many women are quietly navigating :
High expectations, landing from the bliss, pressure, overwhelm, identity shifts, fears, grief, relationship wounds surfacing, spiritual thresholds... the list continues...
Nothing is wrong with you, my dear.
You are only crossing a threshold.
Becoming a wife is not just an event.
It is a shift in your identity, your body, your heart, and your relationship to love and commitment.
And you were never meant to navigate that alone.
The Marriage Doula's,
Story

I created The Marriage Doula because I wished I had someone in my corner who not only understood me, but had lived what I was experiencing.
Getting engaged can be one of the most exciting seasons of your life. There is so much joy, celebration, and anticipation. But after the excitement settles, life often begins to feel normal again and that's when other emotions can start to surface.
I was so excited to become a wife, but when it came down to it, I had no idea what that truly meant or what was being asked of me in order to become one.
My husband and I have had a very unique journey into marriage, one that gave me the opportunity to witness again and again that becoming a wife is so much more than a wedding day.
The closer I came to marriage, the more emotions seemed to rise to the surface... Doubt. Fear. Excitement. Old wounds. Relationship patterns. Questions about trust, commitment, and the life we were choosing to build together.
At times, I thought something must be wrong.
But what I eventually realized was that I wasn't broken, nor was anything wrong.
I was standing at a threshold.
What I noticed throughout this process was that there was support for planning a wedding. There was support for the logistics, the timeline, and the celebration.
But there was very little support for the internal experience of becoming a wife.
And that is why The Marriage Doula was born.
THE JOURNEY
Signature Marriage Doula package - three months prior to the wedding and continued support in the months following.
For women with unique circumstances or timelines, support can be adapted to meet your needs!
Every woman's journey into marriage is unique, together we will create a path of support that honors your relationship.
PREPARATION
Private 1:1 support to navigate the emotional, relational, and personal aspects of becoming a wife. This time is about what is currently alive in your relationship. A walk through the journey of the joys, expectations and the future while also noticing the fears, doubts, and blocks that may be surfacing.
WEDDING DAY PRESENCE
I can be present on the day of your wedding. Through the chaos of the day, I would be devoted to helping you remain connected to yourself, your partner, and the significance of the commitment you are making. While supporting you being in the magic of a day you put so much time and presence into.
INTEGRATION
After the wedding is just another beginning of the relationship. Together we create space for the change into married life. I will support in the adjustments, discoveries, and deepening that unfolds after the big day.

What working together could look like -
There will be private 1:1 sessions on zoom, voice messages throughout the weeks, practices for deeper reflection, embodiment excercises, prayer and ritual (if you desire), access to future online courses + retreats.
I give you the tools + practices to hold yourself through one of the biggest initiations of your life.
About
Elle Larose Townsend
I'm most passionate about supporting people in their choosing of love.
For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by relationships, partnership, and what helps people create deeper connections with themselves and one another. It's like something I was born with, to listen, see the unseen, and have instincts that help bridge love.
Over the years, life became my greatest teacher. Relationships, heartbreak, devotion, loss, joy, commitment, and all the lessons that come from opening your heart helped shape the woman I am today.
My training includes three years of relationship and intimacy coaching through the Somatica Institute, as well as years of study in embodiment, feminine development, ritual, transformational coaching, and the psychology of life transitions. Together, these experiences have shaped my unique approach to supporting women through one of the most significant thresholds of their lives: the journey into marriage.
I live in Austin, Texas with my husband Dylan. Outside of this work, I am an artist at heart. I love painting, acting, storytelling, travel, tea, and creating beauty in my everyday life.
